Notting Hill Garden

A garden built over an extensive new basement excavation with allowance for light-well and grilles within the space.

the paving flows seamlessly from the interior to the exterior blurring the boundaries during summer months especially when the back of the house is fully opened up.

Carefully selected furniture along with the bespoke Corten Steel planters finish off the garden and tie in beautifully with the other materials & planting.

The garden provides ‘rooms’ for dining and relaxing with concealed views through the tall grasses and other plants giving a sense of mystery of what lies beyond.

The mature, gnarled olive tree was craned over the house and is a strong architectural focal point in the space, also giving a nod to Mediterranean landscapes that the clients in this case love so much.
